Background

Zohak Holding Group is a private afghan owned group of companies working in collaboration of Afghan Government and International agencies in different parts of Afghanistan.

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all reception staff and associated functions, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales, and reporting to the practice manager as necessary. Promote a harmonious and professional atmosphere in this public facing role.
Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Greet hotel guests; answer any questions or concerns

·         Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner

·         Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times

·         Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer

·         Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received

·         Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail

·         Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed

·         Provide an outstanding guest experience

·         Maintain an orderly front desk

·         Operate computer programs and multi-line phone systems

·         Maintain guest records and book reservations

·         Complete basic cashier and bookkeeping responsibilities

·         Contact necessary staff to solve problems when challenges arise, ensuring guest comfort

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Significant work experience handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a hotel/reception setting

·         Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and all other relevant computer programs

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·         Fluent in English

·         A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise

·         Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure

·         Maintain the general office filing system

·         Performing any other task assign by the supervisor/ manager

Qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor in related field
  • Proven experience as a receptionist
  • Solid knowledge of reception principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and related software
  • Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach
Competencies

-          Minimum 5 years’ professional experience

Working conditions

The applicant is required to work full time, 6 days in week and extra hours as needed.
